Mississippi is the last US State to include the Confederate Flag in its flag design

C'mon Mississippi. You know there are negative connotations to the Confederate flag. You know that many people consider it the defining symbol of slavery and racism in the South. And yet, here you are trying to find the last possible threads to defend it? Why can't you just let it go? Yes, it has history -- that much is unmistakeable -- but symbols change over time and this one has run its course. Get rid of it. Know that it once stood for something and now it stands for something else in the collective mindset of America.
